What DCAS Approval Means for Your School
JC Protection LLC is a certified vendor through the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS). This certification makes JC Protection eligible for direct award contracts with NYC public schools, charter schools, and qualifying city institutions. Schools using a DCAS-approved vendor can bypass the full competitive bidding process on qualifying contracts, which reduces procurement time and administrative overhead.
School administrators and procurement officers can verify our DCAS vendor status through the NYC Mayor’s Office of Contract Services. Our vendor documentation is available on request.
New York City operates the largest public school system in the United States, with more than 1,600 schools and over one million enrolled students across five boroughs. That scale, combined with the density of the urban environment, creates security demands that are unlike those in any other school district in the country. Entry points in NYC schools see high foot traffic concentrated in short arrival and dismissal windows, often adjacent to subway stations and major transit hubs in dense residential and commercial corridors. These conditions require guards with training in crowd management, visitor verification, and rapid incident escalation, not just standard post-standing.
The NYC Department of Education’s General Response Protocol sets mandatory compliance standards for all schools receiving public funding, and schools without a documented compliance plan face administrative findings and potential program consequences. JC Protection LLC guards are trained and certified in the DOE General Response Protocol before being assigned to any NYC public school post. Our DCAS-approved vendor status means that school administrators working with JC Protection skip the extended competitive bidding process and move directly to contract execution, which keeps your campus coverage on schedule.
