Clifford is an accomplished 15 year veteran law enforcement officer where he conducted high profile criminal investigations. He served throughout the City in numerous uniform/investigative assignments throughout his career.
Prior to Law Enforcement, he attended Bishop Loughlin MHS (“class of 98”), Brooklyn, NY, where he lead the Loughlin lions, men’s varsity basketball team in scoring and rebounding his senior year. Clifford then accepted a division 1 full scholarship from Loyola University of Maryland. In December of 2000, due to a major knee injury, he returned to New York City to finish his schooling at St. Francis College of NY. Clifford went on to play professional basketball overseas. In the summer of 2004, he won a championship in Mexico’s top league and was named MVP. After his Championship, Clifford decided to move on from his basketball career and started a new chapter in his life. He quickly picked up work with various security firms while he awaited his appointment to the Police Department.
After becoming a police officer, Clifford quickly gained the respect of his peers and moved around to various units throughout the department. One of which, was the Executed Protection Unit (EPU) for City Hall’s Mayor Protection team. With his 6’7” body frame, and his professional appearance, he earned the likes of the City Hall staff. Clifford was chosen as one of Mayor Bloomberg’s Executive Protection guards. He is now in charge of detectives who investigate and apprehend individuals involved in Police shootings.
Clifford holds a Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis College. He has attended numerous law enforcement training programs through various agencies. He is an well rounded individual and would provide excellent diversity, leadership, and professionalism to any organization.
